HOSEA NEWSLETTER MAY 2026

Greetings from the mission field!

God has shown once again that nothing is impossible for Him.

Hosea Main Church has a woman whose husband opposed his wife's faith. The man tore up her Bible, burned it, and cursed God. Then he went to his construction site. While working on the construction site, his hand was electrocuted. He suffered severe burns and fell from the scaffolding to the ground. He was taken to the hospital. After hearing about the accident, the wife asked the Hosea Church team to come to the hospital to pray for the man to experience a miracle and be saved. In the hospital, the man listened to the gospel and, surprisingly, wanted to be saved!

The man recounted what he had experienced during his accident. He saw an angel carrying him towards heaven, where he saw his father, who had died long ago and who told him: “You cannot come to heaven yet.” Then his gaze fell on a deep abyss that led to darkness, and he also saw people falling into that abyss. He said that he experienced the heat coming from the abyss, was terrified, and understood that he must receive Jesus as his saviour: the very Jesus he had persecuted, otherwise that horror would befall him too.

The man came to faith after this. God performed a mighty miracle in his body: the broken bones and burns healed, and he went home well. There he told the Hosea team that he wanted to testify about his faith at the Sunday meeting. Many in the city knew him as an opponent of God, and he wanted to tell what can happen when you curse God and what man’s destiny would be without Christ. John 1:12: "But to all who received him, to those who believed in him, he gave the right to become children of God."

On the Oriental side of the island of Mindoro, Hosea's churches have experienced renewal by the Spirit of God. We held a conference there that attracted many attendees, who experienced the power of the Holy Spirit and heard the message of salvation.

The Waygan church building is being constructed

The Waygan church building is being constructed

There are tribes on the Oriental side that have not been evangelised. The area is mountainous and full of NPA terrorist dens, as it is easy to hide there. God has given the command to preach the gospel in the darkest places on earth, and that is exactly what we are doing. There is a Waygan tribal area where there was a rotten, termite-eaten bamboo structure. Hosea plans to build a church in its place. Why are we building in that particular place, which is a terrorist area in Waygan? Because the NPA keeps kidnapped people and those they want to kill in the area. Their methods of operation are no different from the atrocities of the ISIS terrorist group. Despite everything, Hosea's church is going up there, and the pastors have blessed the land. This is a real groundbreaking opportunity to capture the land from the enemy of souls. Termites are a real plague in that part of the world and you have to keep fighting against them to prevent them destroying building structures. Without termites and the NPA, missionary life would probably be too easy!

In June, the new academic year begins again in our Hosea schools. Now it has been time for summer courses for interested children and for the renovation of the facilities for the new school year. Thank you for your prayers: thanks to them, the Word of God is moving forward!

Blessings, Anne
